2 Minute Noodle

This week Tony Delich gave his 2 minute noodle on how the War in Iran is affecting the Property Market by making prospective buyers not commit. Even the Residential market has slowed down as not many people are going to home opens at the moment too, before the War they were always very busy. Tony also mentioned that the Mitchell Freeway has been quieter since the start of the War due to people working from home to conserve fuel.

Guest Speaker

Our Guest speaker this week was Rob Storey, Past President of MDAWA (Now Neuromuscular WA), speaking on "My Fundraising walk from Melbourne to Perth commencing 0n 19th April 2026".

Rob was on the Board of MDAWA from 2005 to 2015 and was President for 5 years to 2015. Rob and his wife Louise are still loyal Volunteers of Neuromuscular WA today. Their daughter Ellen Storey-Potter is a current Board member on the Neuromuscular WA Board and has been since 2022.

It was a great presentation by Rob and going to be one hell of an effort to average 50 kms per day 6 days a week for 3,400km. Rob plans to arrive back in Perth on 9 July 2026.
Rob was hosted on behalf of the Club by Geoff Woods and thanked by Ian Hutton for his Presentation.
