Message from the President
Fantastic to get back to our Rotary meeting this week after my short convalescence…! I can happily say all went well and I’m very thankful for the expertise and care we have access to through our health system. We can always find shortcomings but when you step back and look at what is managed through the system each and every day, it is pretty impressive. Suffice to say it has been an interesting experience, although one I don’t plan on repeating any time soon!
Thanks to Hayley (and Tony) for stepping in during my absence. Fortunately, Rotary stops for no one! There is quite a bit to be looking forward to over the next few months. But for now the most pressing is the Joint Rotary District Conference (5th to 7th of March) at Optus Stadium. I encourage you to get along, always interesting speakers but the greatest benefit is the opportunity to engage with Rotarians from across the districts, whilst supporting Rotary programmes. Check out the details in the link below.
Pat has arranged a great speaker for this week – Claire Orange who will speak on raising children in the digital age. Perhaps a good opportunity for you to bring along a guest?
Yours in Rotary Service,
Stephen
