Farewell Honorary Rotarian Gordon Allan

It was with great sadness that we heard of the passing of much loved honorary West Perth Rotarian Gordon Allan on Tuesday 9 July 2019. Gordon dedicated more than 40 years of service to Rotary. Gordon was the Club President in 1986/1987 and was awarded a Paul Harris fellow in 1992. Gordon was awarded honorary membership of the club in 2015. Our thoughts and condolences go out to Faye and family.

BREAKFAST SPEAKER: Pip Asphar - Hospital Equipment for Cambodia Project

On Thursday morning we enjoyed the wonderful presentation from Osborne Park Rotarian Pip Asphar who is the coordinator for their Hospital Equipment for Cambodia Project.  Similar to our MERC, the project involves the recycling of used hospital equipment to Cambodia, where the public hospitals have very little and patients often do not even have beds provided for them.  To date this project has shipped 22 x 40 foot containers of used hospital equipment & medical supplies to Cambodia over the past seven years.

To find out more about the project read here.

Mally Rall gave the vote of thanks to Pip - 20 polio vaccinations were donated on Pip's behalf as a token of our appreciation

Thanks for joining us Pip and for your very insightful presentation.

Congratulations to John Holman who was honored a Paul Harris Fellow for 2019.

Reminder to everyone....

Please have a look in your cupboards and see if there is anything in there that you don't use  that you are happy to donate.

Bring along to breakfast and Sandy will collect them and drop them off. If everyone is able to bring one item it would help us restock the shelves.

If anyone has any ideas  on how to source new stock please let us Sandy and the Fundraising team know as this will be critical to keep the stall going.
